TGIF All. I thought we'd do give you something much different than the norm today in an effort to accomplish a few things heading into the weekend.

It's 4/20 folks, and for those of you who don't know what that is - it's code for cannabis, marijuana, pot, smoke or whatever else you want to call it. Who would have thought when "Fast Times at Ridgemont High" hit the theatres in 1982 - giving Sean Penn his first crack at stardom - that 35 years later we'd be talking about stock market investment opportunities in the same drug we watched Jeff Spicoli pile out of his van wreaking of and coughing.

Whether you agree or not, things do change and there's absolutely not a single soul out there who can argue the growth of the cannabis space in recent years. Currently there are 25 states with some form of legalized medical marijuana and seven states that have legalized recreational marijuana laws that are in various stages of being implemented. Canada has already legalized it for medicinal purposes - and is projected to approve it for recreational use over the next few years.

We got some good news from SPYR, Inc. (SPYR) folks - news that helps solidify the Company's focus and direction. Specifically, the news further communicates SPYR's commitment to mobile gaming, and more importantly the multi-billion dollar growth opportunity in eSports. Here's the details of what took place yesterday...

SPYR announced a formal action by the Company's Board of Directors to initiate the legal and regulatory steps necessary to spin-off the Company's restaurant division, Eat at Joe's(R) as a separate publicly traded company. The spin-off company, currently operating under the name Eat at Joe's(R), will focus on the licensing or possibly franchising of the Eat at Joe's(R) name and concept and will also include the manufacture and distribution of branded foods. The company plans to achieve its goals related to branded foods in part by acquiring companies with new and interesting food concepts.

Good Monday morning everyone. I hope you all had an enjoyable Holiday weekend with family and friends. We're back for what will probably be another exciting week, especially with the markets' recent volatility swings. However, we do continue to see significant strength in commodities, a topic we've talked about on several occasions in recent months - and one that clearly supports the reflationary theme our economy is sure to be a part of over the next several years.

You've also probably noticed we've spent a lot more time over the last several months bringing you a number of junior mining stocks to take advantage of in the event commodities continue to be among some of the best performing sectors this year and beyond. Not only do we think it's smart to expose one's self to commodities going forward, we think it's going to be tremendously profitable.
