Track
Record Revealed--SmallCap Digest.
(See our track record chart mid
article)
As we move into what promises to
be an interesting Fall --the season, not the direction of the market--
we would like to solicit your
feedback. What would you like to see in future SmallCap Digest
(SCD) offerings? What type of articles interest you--more ideas, more
educational content, perhaps a mix of the two? Just as important: what's
your opinion of the market(s) into the Fall and 2004?
Also, keep sending along any stock
ideas--with some facts/reasons, not just a symbol--that we might have
a look at for the readership. Relevance is our goal and therefore, who
better to help define that relevance than our readers?
We believe....
To add context for your comments,
here are the tenets to which we subscribe at the SmallCapDigest:
· Regardless of market conditions,
there are always great situations.
· Wall Street analysts are
invariably late.
· Economists are invariably
wrong.
· Common sense is the most
important component of due diligence.
· Most small cap companies
never see the light of day for good reasons.
· Our mandate is to provide
trading strategies as well as great--and hopefully profitable--stock ideas.
· We strive to provide information,
never hype, to investors, both small cap and otherwise.
· We love to receive your
email thoughts and comments. While we can't respond to all, every one is
read and digested.
· We will always provide
readers with quick access to our track record.
Below we have published our picks
and profiles for your perusal. Those who followed our advice have realized
a very decent return--well above the indices. For those who haven't, well,
it's never too late. We'll continue to bring you stocks, ideas and educational
articles that can only help to enhance your trading and returns. No matter
what the market is doing, we at SCD believe that there's always investment
potential.
Pounding the Table
We've made you some great money
over the past several months and will work diligently to continue doing
so. Check out the list below.
In future, each article will have
a link back to our Trading
Alerts so you can keep track of a favored stock's (or stocks')
progress. No publication is right all the time, but as long as the approach
is sound and the vast majority of picks is profitable, it's worth a read.
We think you'll agree that for a
free publication--tell your friends to subscribe--you
are receiving way more than your money's worth with SCD.

An eclectic group? To be sure. We
still like and are following them all--although we were tepid on ATI and
Corel. Your risk tolerance will dictate whether a partial or full sale
is in order to realize some profit. We think they are great companies with
great franchises or prospects and even though there are three that have
declined or have yet to perform--or both-- we believe that they represent
opportunities rather than failures. Corel will, however, be removed as
it is being taken over at around $1.
The largest gainer is CEL-SCI while
the largest decline was noted in ThinkPath. We are gathering information
on the latter and will continue to bring you details and information on
the former. We are also looking at a bevy of new smallcap stocks, which,
on first blush, look extremely interesting. We are planning to bring you
the first of them late next week.
When warranted, we will also suggest
stop loss orders to limit risk on the most highly speculative situations.
That strategy served us well on GlycoGenesys, for example, which failed
to rise within our time frame, twice. An extremely volatile situation,
the biotech company is still worth watching and perhaps owning a small
position. On Tuesday, the shares moved from 50 cents to a high of $1.09,
closing at 70 cents. GLGS is clearly a stock for nimble traders.
Send in your comments, thoughts,
ideas and reasoned stock picks to editor@smallcapnetwork.com.
We promise that we'll read and review them all. And answer as many as we
can.
