We continue to get some pop from the broader markets, so more back and forth following much of the same last week. Although we continue to get some bumps from the major averages, the S&P 500 still hasn't been quite able to buck its recent trend of lower highs and lower lows. Actually, yesterday's high was a bit higher than Friday's but we'll see if the index can find some follow through by day's end or not. If it can't, the guys over at Elite Opportunity Pro (EOP) still think the index has a good chance of breaking below 2,400 before the index could be in a position to find its footing again. More importantly, if the S&P 500 can't find follow through - and ends up moving lower for the rest of the week - this week would mark the third consecutive week the index will have made a lower weekly high. We'll see, but there's no question tech continues to lag somewhat, while oil and gold continue to be the big losers over the last several weeks. However, gold is rapidly approaching a very key price point, one that could end up serving up a big technical and fundamental bottom for gold bugs pretty soon. If that ends up being the case, we could be in for some major runs in many of the junior mining stocks out there. Basically the guys at EOP have been pointing to about $113 on GLD, which is the big ETF tracking gold. They've been saying this is in their daily newsletter commentary over there for weeks now - and the ETF continues to cooperate. With that, we're going to put another new featured stock out there on the open tomorrow - only this particular idea is a newly trading small cap on the NASDAQ that has quite the amazing precious metal story to it. The timing could end up being tremendous - especially with gold now hovering back down around its March lows. It's not very often we get the opportunity to exploit a new small cap NASDAQ in the precious metal space these days, as most of the small junior mining stocks are listed on the OTC Bulletin Board. However, this particular company made it to the NASDAQ, has plenty of cash on hand to fund their ongoing exploration efforts, and is actually focused on gold exploration and development right here in our backyard - the good ole US of A. Stay tuned, we're just doing our fact gathering today and will provide you with all of the details tomorrow.
