Good day to you. The indexes continue their back and forth behavior trying to determine if they're going to move higher going into fourth quarter earnings now or not. If you aren't currently Member of our newly launched SmallCap Network Elite Opportunity (SCN EO), you may want to do so in fairly short order. John Monroe, Editor in Chief of SCN EO, published some compelling information this morning with respect to fourth quarter earnings and how they are lining up with the current levels of the market. It was their first edition today, and I have to admit it was impressive. In addition to their analysis of the upcoming earning's season, the SCN EO Team also put out a list of eleven open ideas, of which only a few have been previously mentioned in our free newsletter here. Two of those ideas were suggested to be among the small group of large caps that will inevitably lead this market higher.
The SCN EO Team's track record for last year was exceptional, so it's probably worth a few minutes to learn about this new subscription opportunity. If you're serious about making money in the markets, it's a must have daily email newsletter service that's sure to not only keep you on top of the markets, but it's targeted to provide you with ideas that can help you make better returns on your investing dollars without having to throw darts. The bottom line is if today's newsletter, or any of our free newsletters going forward, aren't giving you everything you need with respect to timely market commentary, stock picks and more, it's probably well worth the money to become a SCN EO Member sooner rather than later.

Earning's Season
As the markets approach multi-year highs once again, there's a lot of political rhetoric taking place regarding an increase of our debt ceiling here at home, as well as the current Administration's lack of interest in putting together a budget program to address the unprecedented increasing debt problem our country now faces. There's two sides of the camp with the first suggesting our economic health now would be ten times worse if not for the current Administration's aggressive monetary policy, while the other side continues to emphasize a day of reckoning is right around the corner. Who will end up being right when it's all said and done? Likely both sides somewhere in the middle. That's usually the way things go.
Alcoa (AA) kicked off the earning's season yesterday, as the largest aluminum producer in the United States announced they are cautiously optimistic demand for metal will continue to grow in 2013, helped in part by strong sales to aerospace and construction customers. That's what investors want to hear as the markets rewarded the bulls today with a sharp move higher after yesterday's slight weakness across the broader indexes.
Small Cap News and Editorials
In the SmallCap Network Community, there was some very interesting articles published this morning that caught my eye. Although 2012 wasn't a very good year for small cap stock Majesco Entertainment Co. (COOL), SCN Community Contributor, Bryan Murphy seems to think 2013 could be a year of resurgence for the idea. While the stock fell from a high of $3.17 in January of last year to a low of $0.86 by November, which resulted in a 73% slide for shares of COOL, Murphy suggest the last ten weeks for the stock may be suggesting 2013 could not only be a better year for COOL, it could be a particularly good year for the stock.
He went on to say, "There's a problem COOL had to come to grips with as the consumer market started to become less enthused about consoles and more enthused about mobile gaming, however... the barriers to entry for mobile (tablet/smartphone) game designers is low. In fact, it's so low, a swelling amount of competition sapped Majesco in 2012. For the past two quarters the company has generated only $30.4 million and $9.1 million (sequentially) in revenue. It's a far cry from the $66 million the company generated in revenue three quarters ago, when its latest entry in the Zumba Fitness was unveiled for several platforms." SmallCap Network Community Contributor, John Udovich published a very interesting story this morning on how Enterprise flash stock Fusion-IO, Inc. (FIO) sank 9.62% on an analyst downgrade in light of competition from Intel Corporation (INTC), meaning it might be a good idea to take a closer look at it along with other small cap players like STEC, Inc. (STEC) and OCZ Technology Group (OCZ). Specifically, analyst Jason Ader with William Blair issued a report noting that his checks reveal weaker than expected bookings and an increasing competitive threat from Intel for Fusion-IO. And while Jason believes that enterprise flash will continue to see strong adoption, the PCIe cards Fusion-IO mounts its flash chips on aren't going to sell that well. So he downgraded Fusion-IO from Outperform to Market Perform.
