Market Outlook As it stands right now, the market's poised to close about 2.2% higher for the week. Note, however, that the bulk of the weekly gain was made on Tuesday; we've seen no progress since then. So what? It points to a lack of follow-through, which ultimately suggests the bulls aren't as locked and loaded as they think they are. While volume's been decent on the way up, it hasn't exactly been strong. Of course, the selling volume hasn't been all that strong either.  And the VIX? Yeah, well, it looked like it might have finally made its way into a new uptrend last week (chart below), but no dice. It's back at stunningly-low levels, which should scare the daylight out of the folks who were following the VIX in the late 90's and early 2000's (and to a lesser degree in the mid-2000's).
