Intelligent Content Enterprises Inc. (OTCMKTS:ICEIF) is the operator of  Digital Widget Factory (“DWF”), a global, multi-language proprietary online content creation, management and advertising platform that powers user and advertising engagement programs in the US, Canada, Asia, Middle East, Europe, Central and South America in over 50 languages in real time to desktop, mobile and portable devices.

Opportunity Overview

According to Common Sense Advisory, over 3 billion internet users worldwide, approximately 73% or 2.19 Billion people are engaging online in a language other than English. Internet World Stats reports that the top 10 languages (English, Chinese, Spanish, Arabic, Portuguese, Japanese, Russian, Malay, French and German) account for 78% of all internet users online today.

And they’re browsing a lot. People around the world spent more than eight, hours a day consuming media in 2015.. an increase of 11.8% from 2014’s activity. Internet consumption is forecasted to continue to grow at a rate of 10% per year, which will continue to expand consumption

The usage trend represents opportunity for advertisers, as well as the middlemen who can connect advertisers and web users.

And make no mistake – there’s a lot of money at stake. In 2016, the global advertising market will surpass $100 billion. Of that amount, digital ad expenditures will account for more than 50% for the first time… a 430% increase from 2013 digital ad spending. Between 2016 and 2019, mobile ad spending will nearly double, hitting $195.55 Billion to account for 70.1% of digital ad spending.

It’s not just advertising that represents opportunities for content creators and curators, though.

Content marketing has emerged as the most vibrant and talked-about marketing sector of the past five years, building momentum at a faster growth rate year over year, each year from 2010 through 2014. Growth of revenue from content marketing is set to rise to $54.25 billion by 2019, and in 2015, global content-marketing revenue grew 14.4% in the first quarter alone. This is a faster increase rate than the full year of 2014, when total rose by 13.3% to $26.7 billion

Another revenue avenue, affiliate marketing is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 10% through 2020, from $4.2 billion in 2015, and expected to reach $6.8 billion in 2020.

The catch?  Just because web content created in English can successfully be translated into other languages doesn’t mean the ads and promotions that appear side by side with that content is the most effective advertising – or the most relevant advertising – to users who have used in online translation tool in order to consume content not created in their native language.

It matters because, as Common Sense Advisory has also reported , more than 72% of consumers say that they are likely to purchase online if the experience is in their preferred language.  A great deal of that advertising and marketing message isn’t successfully translated along with digital content and context.

Intelligent Content Enterprises’ technology provides the ability to localize both language and advertising separately providing solutions that truly engage the user both in their language and their location.

ICEIF Outlook and Analysis

It’s difficult to pin down what sort of revenue Intelligent Content Enterprises may be capable of producing through its Digital Widget Factory, and when it may be able to produce it.  The business model is highly scalable, and it’s also a low-cost one.  We also know the company intends to more than double the current number of sites represented on its primary translation website, accordingly doubling the amount of revenue it could produce with such growth.
It should also be noted there is no relevant performance history for the company as we know it today; acquisitions and newly-opened ventures have only materialized in just the past few weeks, and have yet to be reported within any quarterly filing.

In other words, owning a stake in ICEIF is tantamount to placing a bet on the premise.  The premise, however, is more than a proven one.
